Lake Wimico
Lake Wimico is a wild area of Florida bordered on
all sides by swamps and backwaters and it’s only
accessible by boat via the Apalachicola River, Depot
Creek or the Intercoastal Waterway. It’s a popular
bass fishing destination and location for several
bass tournaments every year. Whether, you want to
land that big bass or take the kids for some fun
catching bream and shellcracker, Lake Wimico is a

Apalachicola River
The Apalachicola River basin is one of the richest
areas of wildlife and fishing in the world. You’ll
have the chance to catch largemouth bass, bream and
shellcracker and may see interesting wildlife like
the great blue heron, osprey, bald eagle, alligators

Tours
Florida Heritage
On this unique tour, you will not only learn the
intriguing history of Gulf and Franklin Counties but
will see first hand the remnants of this intriguing
past. This includes historical sites as well as
artifacts from Captain Roger’s personal collection.
Your tour will start at Depot creek and meander
through wild Florida to Lake Wimico and then through
Jackson and Apalachicola Rivers to the city of
Apalachicola. Here, we will dock for a time to give
you the opportunity to have a meal at one of several
local restaurants (the best seafood around!), shop
for antiques or explore historic downtown.

Wildlife
On this tour, you will see and learn about local
wildlife on Depot Creek and Lake Wimico. The
animals you may see include alligators, osprey,
great blue heron, bald eagle, otters, and ducks. See

Marine Life
On this tour, learn about the creatures that live at
the bottom of St. Joe Bay. What you may see:
stingrays, clams, scallops, conchs, sponges, star
fish, seahorses, dolphin, horseshoe crabs, sea
urchin, sand dollars, blue crabs, and spider crabs.
You’ll want to bring your snorkeling gear for this
one! If you don’t have any, gear will be provided

Scalloping (available July 1-Sept 10)
Captain Roger will take you to the head of St. Joe
Bay to where the scallops live! If you love
snorkeling, you will love finding these succulent
little creatures of the Bay. Captain Roger will
even throw in a free shucking lesson to make dinner
come a little faster! Snorkeling gear provided if

Deserted Beach Trip
St. Vincent Island
Wild St. Vincent Island is a wildlife preserve
bordered by Apalachicola Bay and the Gulf of
Mexico. Here you may see the traces of Native
American life as you observe artifacts such as
pottery and shell tools on the beach. This island
was previously a private hunting destination and the
exotic Sanbar Deer is often sited on the shores of
the island. Bald Eagles and Osprey are also
commonly sighted on the island.See

The Point at Cape San Blas
The Point at Cape San Blas is bordered by the
pristine waters of St. Joe Bay and the Gulf of
Mexico. Captain Roger will take you and all your
gear to either of these locations for a day at the
beach for hiking, shelling, swimming, or just laying
in the sun.See
